Selected by Garmin, Kerala-based Acsia Technologies will be working with AOX Technologies to deliver state-of-the-art software development services for the BMW infotainment program.
A Gripping Partnership
For the first time, a Kerala-based global automotive software company will be offering its software development services on an infotainment program for BMW, a German luxury carmaker. The company, headquartered in Technopark Trivandrum, was chosen by Garmin, a leading global provider of GPS-enabled products, to develop an advanced digital cockpit.
Acsia will be leveraging its expertise in developing infotainment and connected car production programs for leading carmakers to create infotainment and integrated cockpit systems for this project. Furthermore, the company’s collaboration with AOX, a Garmin SW development partner, is expected to streamline project delivery.
The Project
The core software development for the hardware and software platform will take place at Acsia’s delivery centre in Trivandrum, equipped with TISAX, ASPICE, and other required certifications. In addition, Acsia will be locating its engineers in Germany for effective project collaboration. This also opens opportunities for Kerala’s engineering community to work on advanced automotive software.
