Tower Fasteners- An Overview
Thomas J. Shannon, the company’s founder, established Tower Fasteners in Mineola, New York, in 1967. Mr Shannon experimented with cutting-edge technologies to enhance client satisfaction and product quality. In 1975, he started the first tower distribution center, now a sales office, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Tower designed and constructed its new corporate headquarters in Holtsville, New York, in 1986. In Dublin, Ireland, Tower Fasteners inaugurated its first European distribution center in 2018. Other distribution centers currently serve Tower clients in Texas, New England, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, North Carolina, Mexico, and the Southwest of the United States, as well as in Mexico. Tower provides manufacturing services to companies in the industrial, electronics, aerospace, medical equipment, security, fire, and safety industries.
How will the Tower Fasteners work now?
The management of Tower Fasteners is currently in the hands of the second generation of Shannon’s “Mark Shannon“, who has maintained Thomas J. Shannon’s drive and dedication to excellence. Tower Fasteners’ president, Mark Shannon, will continue to lead the business even after MSC acquired it because of his contribution to expanding both the consumer base and the company. Under his direction, the Tower brought in roughly $35 million in revenue as of 2021. The company runs eight distribution facilities in Southern U.S. States, Mexico, and Europe, as well as along the east coast. The primary concern after the Tower became an MSC company was its name. Will it be changed? However, the equity purchase agreement did clarify that Tower Fasteners will maintain its current name and conduct business as usual.
