Pearl TV and iWedia Collaborate to Facilitate NEXTGEN TV Adoption

The collaboration will result in solutions that will accelerate the process of adding the NEXTGEN technology to the Android TVs, for the electronic makers. 

Pearl TV has launched a fast-track program, in collaboration with iWedia, to add the interactive features of the new ATSC 3.0 A/344 to the TV. This coalition is based on the ulterior motive of accelerating and streamlining the NEXTGEN TV technology adoption process. This will help the electronic makers who produce smart TVs and related devices adopt this technology at greater volumes. 

The managing director of Pearl TV, Anne Schelle, said that Android TV is a versatile operating system that powers smart TVs and streaming boxes. With a content-loving customer base, this platform helps Android TV manufacturers quickly accelerate the introduction of the features of NEXTGEN TV with the SoC technology powered by iWedia. She added that they are excited to come together with iWedia to bring affordable-cost televisions the consumers want. 

The ATSC 3.0 software stack by iWedia includes an advanced media player and a browser that enhances the capabilities developed by the Pearl TV. The television SoPC manufacturers will benefit from the operating system of iWedia. Also, this technology’s IoT and in-vehicle infotainment capabilities will be equipped in vehicles too.
