CATL Inks Agreement With FlexGen for 10GWh Energy Storage System

FlexGen becomes the only US energy storage integrator to receive the designation of CATL’s authorized service provider.

The supply will be received by FlexGen for three years according to the agreement and will help them provide better solutions to the US market and government.

Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) signed an agreement with FlexGen Power Systems Inc. (FlexGen). CATL will supply 10GWh of its leading energy storage equipment to FlexGen for three years. The equipment EnerC is a containerized liquid-cooling battery system that ensures reliable operation of the system for 20 years. 

The Equipment

It comes with C5 anti-corrosion protection and IP55 to meet the requirements of harsh climatic conditions. The density of EneC can reach 259.7 kWh per sq. meter, which is 200% more than traditional air-cooling systems. The  HybridOS energy management system of FlexGen and CATL will come together to provide a reliable capability for the power market and municipal and cooperative utility projects.
