Hyundai Mobis Signs a Partnership for Software Platform Development

A futuristic path is unveiled with the reveal of the partnership between Hyundai Mobis and Vector.

The strategic partnership is expected to lead vehicle manufacturing to new paths of success by increasing demands for infotainment and autonomous driving components, among others.

An Alliance

With the growing importance of software platforms in vehicle manufacturing, the demand for AUTOSAR-based software platforms has also increased. It has led Hyundai Mobis to join hands with Vector. This partnership is expected to increase demands globally for components related to infotainment and autonomous driving. 

Through this MOU, increased competitiveness of automotive software is anticipated. The software developed will be installed in infotainment systems, parking systems, autonomous driving sensors, and electrified parts. They are expecting to grow further in the future. A literal transformation in the field of automated driving and EV is awaited. Both parties are excited about the MoU and are said to benefit from it equally. 

Anticipated Outcome 

The strategic partnership will also guide Hyundai Mobis in becoming a leader in mobility software by conquering software competitiveness and quality reliability in the global industry, as stated by Jae Ho Jang, the Senior Vice President at Hyundai Mobis. Ji-Hwang Chang, President of Vector, is equally excited to join hands with Hyundai Mobis and develop automotive software platforms required by future generations. 

The partnership marks the onset of more partnerships with major software companies that will provide a helping hand in automated driving.
